ARCHAIR (During London’s design week, Sept 2004). A guerrilla art installation in six high profile locations across London. Brief to self: create and install six 15m high freestanding arches with a chair at each end that connects two people sitting at a distance. Arch must cross roads and public thoroughfares in the most densely populated areas in London. Must be portable and able to be installed in under 5 minutes. Make sure its safe for public use. Locations: Arching over the fountain at Picadilly Circus; At the entrance to Tate Modern; In the forecourt of The Royal Exchange; At the entrance to Covent Garden; Arching over the road in Cork Street; Arching over Brick Lane.
